Its that time of year again, Hockey Season is just around the corner and Young Nova Scotians across the province are lacing up their skates and hitting the ice.
To suit up kids this season, I will be joining MLA Brendan Maguire and Sportwheels Sports Excellence to host a kids hockey equipment drive, accepting gear donations from now until September 15th.
The mission is to collect new and used hockey equipment and distribute it to those who need it.
What we are looking for: New or lightly used hockey equipment including skates, pants, shin pads, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, sticks, hockey socks, hockey jerseys, helmets, neck guards, equipment bags, equipment drying racks and goalie equipment.
Items we can not accept: mouth guards, heavily worn or damaged equipment.
From now until September 15, simply drop off new or lightly used hockey equipment at my office to help young Nova Scotians get in the game.
